Silent Auction - Children's Montessori School

I was honored to donte this painting to support fund raising at the Children's Montessori School in Jacksonville NC.

This lonely building is located in Trenton NC - we pass it every time we head north. The building has great "bones" - it may have been the local bank, it's one of the most substantial buildings in this little town.

Park Florist

A Buffalo institution, Park Florist has been in business as long as I can remember. It used to be the "place" to order prom flowers, Easter plants, etc. It's still in it's original location - across from Bennett High School on Main Street.

The Nineteen Dollar Cake

Bakery counters always have good subject matter, even if you can't afford to take it home. What kind of cake costs $19?

Steamed Lobsters 18 x 18 $175

Every summer, a local church has a lobster festival. Live lobsters zoome along I-95 from Maine to NC, and the church's men's club steams them. It's a great deal and a greater treat. Here are ours before we got out the crackers and melted butter.

It's been so long since I had time to paint - started this one in the fall. I think the church is in the Catskill region of NYS. I took the photo about 15 years ago.
